Co-founder of Batmaid, the "UBER for cleaners", Eric Laudet has always been on the lookout for what's new & promising. Co-founder of Gotham, the largest coworking space in Switzerland & investor in several promising African startups. An early crypto investor who got partly burnt in the bubble with a lot of learnings along the way, he now defines himself as "a serial entrepreneur in the making".
Batmaid is the "UBER for cleaners": the 1st platform to book your cleaning lady insured and declared in less than 60 seconds as well as the fastest growing internet startup in Switzerland and Luxembourg.
Eric Laudet, born and raised in Paris, moved to Switzerland 8 years ago. Initially working in physical commodity trading at Louis Dreyfus in Geneva, soon became an entrepreneur first in Lausanne and then in Zurich.
When graduating from ESCP Europe Business School in 2011, investment banking lost its shine for him. Eric developed a passion for a new asset class, commodities and joined a commodity trading house in Geneva. With a growing interest towards sub-Saharan region of Africa and while working in commodities, Eric went to set up commodity businesses as first entrepreneurial experience, with many failures along the road.
He then partnered up with a beer-pong Swiss friend, Andreas, to found Batmaid and then Gotham the largest single co-working space in Switzerland.
Despite focusing on these 2 main projects he finds time to develop two very different projects, ShareX a platform to digitalise SME shares, and BloodX; to get your blood tested directly to your home via a kit and digitise your blood biomarkers and DNA to achieve biohacking goals.
The most enthralling areas for Eric? "Bio hacking/neuro hacking" and the "Psychedelic Drug Renaissance".
Being heavily involved in various investments in Africa, and investor in various promising startups like Nalo, Shapr and Fred de la Compta, all of them Parisian startups, Eric was also an early crypto investor who got partly burnt in the bubble with a lot of learnings along the way.
He now defines himself as "a serial entrepreneur in the making" and will share the story of a company created in only 2 days!
