Barry Yates can tell many stories. And he does so very entertainingly! With more than 25 years entrepreneurial experience spanning multiple sectors, including forestry, transportation, telecom, retail, software and industrial products, Barry can draw from a vast pool of success stories and failed trials. His experience as a start-up CEO, his hands-on leadership style and proven ability to scale up and succeed in a large-scale environments make him a perfect fit for his somewhat new role as Manging Director of e@UBC, which he took on in December 2016. Barry has a passion for building organizations and commercializing technology and is excited to help UBC prepare the next generation of young entrepreneurs to build and expand BC's burgeoning innovation ecosystem.
