Startup Grind Tirana is hosting Elvin Guri on February 17th, one of the most distinguished investors. One of his recent investments is ONE Telecommunications Albania, the second-largest and fastest-growing mobile operator in the country. Elvin will join us in a fireside chat and take us through his career as an investor.
Mr. Elvin Guri is a well-known entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. Currently CEO of Empower Capital Advisors, manager of Empower Capital Funds, a group of private equity funds investing in industrial companies in South-east Europe. In 2001-2002 he co-founded JetFinance International, which became the largest consumer finance lender in South East Europe. Among his other recent investments is ONE Telecommunications (Albania), the second-largest and fastest-growing mobile operator in the country. Mr. Guri has an Executive MBA from the University of Oxford Said Business School. He and his family are enthusiastic supporters of the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG), American University in Kosovo (AUK/RIT), and Junior Achievement in Albania and Bulgaria.
