Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, 5th Planet Games Robert Winkler is the co-founder and chief executive officer of 5th Planet Games, a leading developer of core games on mobile and web platforms. Robert has helped grow the company from a small independent studio into a thriving, 70-person company with several hit titles. After working in the retail banking and insurance industries for more than a decade, Robert decided to pursue his true passion in life by building the type of deep, immersive gaming experiences that he and his friends enjoyed playing themselves. 5th Planet Games’ first offering was Dawn of the Dragons, a dark, story-driven Role Playing Game that to this day maintains a very loyal and passionate following. Since then, Rob has overseen the design and development of other RPG and Collectible Card Games such as Legacy of a Thousand Suns, Clash of the Dragons, and more. He has created a corporate culture at 5th Planet Games that rewards creativity, innovation and teamwork, helping establish the organization as one of the fastest growing companies in the Sacramento area.
