Prepare a three minute presentation followed by three minutes of Q&A.

Application Process

  • Step 1: Apply using this form for Startup Grind Princeton Entry Event by January 10th. We will finalize the participants Monday, January 13th.
  • Step 2: Pitch at 2 PM EST on January 16th.
  • Step 3: Winners of the Chapter events are recorded by Fri, Jan 17 and progress to the Semi Finals.
  • Step 4: Semi Finals will take place virtually between Jan 20-22, 2025.
  • Step 5: Winners of the Semi Finals are selected by Jan 22, 2025 and progress to the Final.
  • Step 6: The Finals will take place virtually on Jan 23, 2025.
  • Step 7: The Global Pitch Champion and Runner-up is selected and announced during the Final.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Tech-Driven: We're seeking innovative companies with technology at their core.
  • Scalable & Repeatable Business Model: The business should have the potential for growth and replication.
  • Ideal Stage - Bootstrapped w/Revenue - Series A (max)
  • Website & Minimum Viable Product (MVP): Showcase progress with a functioning website and a core product version.
  • Revenue Traction (Preferred): Demonstrated revenue generation is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Not in the “services” industry - i.e. accountants, or a law firm small businesses, etc.

Judging Criteria

There are a host of different factors one may judge the pitches by . The best approach is to involve a roster of judges who have significant experience hearing pitches and working with startups (investors, vc program teams, accelerators, etc).

  1. Value Proposition: What are they doing? What problem are they solving for the customer? What value are they delivering to the customer?
  2. Market Opportunity: Why should I care? Opportunity is sizable enough to go after.
  3. Technology/ Product or Service: How are they doing it? Their solution is realistic and
  4. feasible.
  5. Team: Who are they? Are they capable of solving this problem?
  6. Pitch: Presented in a clear, concise and compelling manner. Conveyed all criteria within the time frame
  7. Promotion: The videos can be promoted on social media and points can be given based on number of likes/views on the videos.
