David is a partner at Venrock, a pioneering venture capital firm formed in 1969 with a primary focus on technology and healthcare. David focuses on early stage consumer and enterprise internet companies. Most notable investment and board was Dollar Shave Club (led Series A and B). He also was the co-creator of Apple’s Music Group and worked at Apple for five years.

Before Venrock, David was the CEO of eMusic, the world’s leading digital retailer of independent music, second only to iTunes in number of downloads sold. He also was the co-creator of Apple’s Music Group and worked at Apple for five years. He currently sits on the board of Dstillery, YouNow, Amino Apps and works with Klout, Crunchyroll, and Nest.
