Adolfo Babatz, Co-founder and CEO of Mexico City-based Clip, a mobile payment system.Clip is the fastest, safest, and most complete monetization solution for businesses in Mexico. Its integrated hardware and software enables businesses (and online platforms) to accept payments by credit or debit cards for the entire transaction or in installments, no matter the size of the operation.
In his own words Adolfo background is: Previously, I worked at PayPal, where I was responsible for Customer Engagement for LatAm and developing new money transfer services (patent pending). Before focusing on product, I launched PayPal Mexico (yes, the whole country by myself) Prior to PayPal, I studied an MBA @ MIT’s Sloan School of Management. While at MIT, I specialized in Entrepreneurship (mobile, payments, media and commerce) and Economics of Information. Before studying my Master’s, I made a living by raising and launching The Carlyle's Group first Mexico buyout fund. Right before Carlyle, I was the Chief of Staff to the CEO in one of Mexico’s largest conglomerates, Grupo Desc. My educational background is a mix of general management, economics, marketing, political science and finance. Although, I should have been a designer....
