#SGWomen:

May is Startup Grind Female Leaders Month where we will host over 150 women on stages globally. Kigali is hosting a series of 3 events, celebrating female leaders in different sectors.

For our last #SGWomen event, we are proud to host Makeda Mahadeo, a Kigali-based, Rwandan-Jamaican media personality, DJ and content creator.

She produced and presented the popular radio show, The SWiTCH for 5 years, co-anchored and co-produced the groundbreaking breakfast television show "Rise and Shine Rwanda", and holds the honour of being the first female DJ in Rwanda.

Now, with a passion for culture, travel, music and storytelling, Makeda is focused on contributing to a more positive and diverse narrative of the heart of Africa through her Youtube channel, Contact Makeda.
