Sina is best known as an Entrepreneur and Founder of the Markafoni Group, the first Online Fashion Site of Turkey. Markafoni became also the first Turkish internet company expanding beyond the borders of Turkey: Markafoni launched Online Fashion sites in Australia, Ukraine, Greece and Poland. Sina was the Chairman and CEO of the Markafoni Group with more than 1500 employees.

The Naspers Group acquired Markafoni in 2014 and signed for one of the biggest deals in the Turkish internet.

His new venture is Tiko - an online real estate tech company which makes selling your home easy and uncomplicated. Tiko is active in 10 cities in 2 countries and growing quickly.

Sina is also an active Business Angel and invested in more than 30 early stage start-ups. He is founding member of Galata Business Angels. Sina was more than 4 years Board Member of Endeavour Turkey.

Sina is Initiator of the Entrepreneurship Foundation and its Chairman. The Entrepreneurship Foundation aims to develop the entrepreneurial culture by supporting highly talented students with the highest grant in Turkey. The foundation receives every year more than 110.000 applications.

Sina has been elected as the “Internet Entrepreneur of the Year” and “Business Angel of the Year” in Turkey (Webrazzi). Markafoni won several awards: “Best Web Start-up 2011” and “Best Online Fashion Site in 2011, 2012 and 2013". The Wired Magazine elected him to the most important 100 Tech People in Europe in 2014 and 2015. He was also awarded as one of the top 100 key tech influencers worldwide in 2016 (Wired Magazine) Prior to Markafoni, Sina has been with eBay and KPMG. Sina received a "Diplom Kaufmann" from Münster University, later he joined Harvard Business School.
