This is the second year that TMC Innovation Institute co-hosts #SGWomen with Startup Grind Houston

Our combined goal is to spotlight female entrepreneurs and female-led startups in the SE Texas region.

We are hosting our annual female founders pitch competition and the startups pitching are exhibiting their solutions.

Every year our goal at #SGWomen is to spotlight female entrepreneurs in our region. We hold meaningful conversations - Dean Latha Ramchand, former Dean at CT Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, now Provost and Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at the University of Missouri and Kerry Rupp, General Partner at True Wealth Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund investing in women-led businesses in consumer health and sustainability. 

We invite female founders to showcase and pitch their startups - Brittany Barretto, Ph.D., CEO + Co-founder, Phermor, placed 2nd out of 6,000 entrants for Startup Grind Global Conference in 2018 -  Bai-mey Chea, CEO + Founder, Mouti, currently crowdfunding until 4-25-2019. (support her startup)

The goals of your Startup Grind are to inspire our community to give BIG (9/18) fire-side chat with Mainline shared their experience around local exponential growth that has generated dozens of valuable startup jobs based in Houston at The Cannon Houston.

Our Global Mission is to Inspire, Educate and Connect Entrepreneurs.

We've learned that building relationships and increasing collaboration encourages local ecosystem strength and growth. (Yared Akalou at Alcove and Will Jackson at My Fam Plan).

The way our team can best help our community's founders and teams is to connect startups locally, nationally and globally.

#SGWomen Pitch Competition - We are kicking off the event with female Startup founders & team members pitching before a panel of experts and attendees. These teams will also be exhibiting their companies before the evening's program.  Applications are open - CLOSED
