August is #SGBlockchain Month! We've invited Roger Haenni, Co-founder & CEO of Datum - decentralized marketplace for social and IoT data, powered by Ethereum, BigchainDB and IPFS. Datum has closed a successful Token Sale last year and is working on a decentralized data store and data marketplace, a way for users to take back their data ownership. Roger is a serial entrepreneur in fintech and IoT.

Roger co-founded various early financial information portals amongst them StockX, SwissInvest and later co-founded PCP.ch, one of the largest online stores in Switzerland. He designed and created a Fitbit for babies at Cleverbaby as well as various smarthome devices such as Kosi, a Bluetooth mesh sensor network. Roger started working on mobile apps as early as 2004, when phones were still black and white, and is looking back at a 17-year career helping various Tier-1 Telecom companies with their app and big data strategies, overlooking dozens of large-scale app initiatives over the years. Recently he co-founded Datum, which closed a successful Token Sale last year and is working on a decentralized data store and data marketplace, a way for users to take back their data ownership.
