After our inaugural Amplifying Voices event we're so excited to be bringing it back this November, We're bringing together an incredible line up of individuals who are making waves in various realms of technology. Prepare to be inspired as we delve into the diverse journeys of founders and leading voices in the tech sphere, discovering first-hand how they carved their path into the world of technology.


It's been quite a few years for all of us and at Startup Grind Scotland we’ve loved using our platform to bring people together to share ideas, spark conversation, and bring a sense of familiarity since we started way back in 2014. It's our 10th anniversary this year, so plenty of reasons to make it extra special.

Dr Arash Badakhsh - an award-winning hydrogen researcher with 9+ years of international R&D expertise in the fields of alternative fuels, energy conversion, and composite materials. Notably, he developed the world's most compact ammonia cracker. He holds over 30 peer-reviewed publications, and 5 patents on hydrogen/ammonia technologies (incl. the proprietary technology at Amogy). Arash is also a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and is an alumnus of the Entrepreneur Business School sponsored by Converge.

Arash is the founder and CEO designate of a prospective Strathclyde spin-out, Entropyst, with a focus on the production of ammonia and turquoise hydrogen. Moreover, he is the founder and acting guest editor of a Special Issue on ‘Unconventional Hydrogen Applications and Systems’ in Energies (MDPI).

In addition to his professional pursuits, he fervently advocates for human rights and endeavours to raise awareness about the 'Woman-Life-Freedom' revolution. As the first female-led revolution movement in history, Arash recognises the imperative of drawing global attention to it to mitigate further atrocities perpetrated against women, particularly in Iran and Afghanistan.


Eunice Olukitibi - is an experienced Software Engineer with over 10 years of expertise in the fintech industry, having worked at SystemSpecs (The Foremost Provider of Innovative Payment and Human Capital Management Solutions and Services in Nigeria).

Her technical proficiency, especially in developing scalable and innovative solutions, has been pivotal in advancing financial technology in the region. In 2022, she began volunteering with Datakirk, where she taught Python, MS Excel, and data skills to NPA and PDA students, an opportunity that also helped her gain valuable UK work experience. Recently, Eunice joined Fanduel as a Software Engineer, continuing her career growth in a global environment.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Eunice is a dedicated mother of two growing toddlers. She successfully balances the demands of her career and family life, serving as an inspiration to other women facing similar challenges.

Eunice is passionate about encouraging women to break into technology and pursue STEM careers, believing that with dedication and resilience, they can thrive in these fields. Outside of work, Eunice is also a violinist, playing regularly at her local church on Sundays, where her love for music complements her dynamic and multifaceted life.

Scarlett Hollerin - is the Co-Founder of Story Shop, a Glasgow-based creative communications agency dedicated to amplifying brands that make a meaningful impact. With over a decade in retail marketing, she worked with some of the UK’s most renowned agencies before establishing Story Shop in 2020, leveraging her experience to create an agency that stands apart. Her mission is to build the best possible experience for clients, partners, and her team, empowering brands to achieve the recognition they deserve.


Chuks Ododo is the Community Engagement & Partnership Manager and a founding member of DataKirk, a registered social enterprise in the United Kingdom. The organisation is dedicated to addressing educational disparities, closing the data divide, and building a diverse talent pipeline across Scotland's key growth sectors. With over 10 years of experience in social enterprise, start-ups, and the third and public sectors, Chuks is a seasoned Community Engagement and Partnership Manager. He brings extensive knowledge of third-sector governance and oversees the strategic direction of organizations to drive positive social impact.

Chuks has a background in marketing and holds a Master's degree from Edinburgh Napier University and the University of Abertay in Dundee. His passion for community, tech, and digital skills led him into the social enterprise Datakirk as a vehicle to future-proof the young generation from ethnic minorities. He is also a Diversity and Inclusion Champion, committed to fostering inclusive communities and empowering underrepresented groups.

In addition to his leadership position at DataKirk, he has served/serving in several board and advisory roles, such as Board Director at FirstFund, Trustee at Prewired, and management committee member at Prospect Community Housing.

Through his work, he remains deeply committed to empowering communities, advancing data and digital literacy, and creating opportunities for diverse talent for a thriving and equitable Scotland.

3. An open mic session where any attendee is free to speak their mind or ask for a piece of advice (60-seconds each) from the community and receive feedback.

4. A networking session in which attendees talk to each other freely over some drinks and delicious food. There's no Startup Grind event where you don't leave with new friends and exciting connections.
