About this event

A decade of growth, bold brand strategy and company culture - Andrew Dobbie, MadeBrave Founder & CEO

Thursday Aug 18th, 6.00 - 8.30pm

How brave do you have to be to start your own business?

On August the 18th we will be joined by none other than Andrew Dobbie, CEO & Founder of MadeBrave to share all the high and lows of the last ten years of scaling the business to a world-renowned creative agency!

They say that fortune favours the brave, but with even the greatest successes come challenges along the way. In 2012 Andrew first started MadeBrave on a shoestring budget of just £1000. Fast forward to 2022, MadeBrave is an award-winning multi-million pound business that works with some of the world’s leading brands.

Within those ten years we’ve had the arrival of Instagram and TikTok, a boom in podcasting; and have more tools than ever before to create our own content and brand story. But how do you keep up? How do you stand out? MadeBrave have continued to evolve and adapt to the changing world of socials and marketing.

From working on projects for the likes of Jonnie Walker, Nestlé and Unilever to building a viral TikTok account with his son, Andrew has been able to balance building world-class content for MadeBrave and his own personal brand.

As we go through the 10 year journey of MadeBrave, we’ll dive into:

  • Changing landscape of media consumption
  • Scaling your team and culture
  • Building a strong personal brand & company brand
  • Becoming TikTok famous & how to do it
  • Why Glasgow is the perfect destination to scale your team

Join us on August 18th as we tell the MadeBrave story with Andrew Dobbie!

[Speaker] Andrew Dobbie (MadeBrave)

A true creative at heart, Andrew began his career as a designer and photographer after studying Multimedia Systems at University of the West of Scotland. Now considered one the UK’s leading branding experts, Andrew believes strongly in brands that live their purpose and that are built from the inside out.

Since launching MadeBrave in 2012 on a shoestring budget of just £1000, Andrew has grown MadeBrave into a 65-strong, multi-million pound business - creating award winning work for many of the world’s leading brands, including Nestle, VELUX, Medtronic, Diageo, FNZ and KPMG.

Andrew believes that through driving a positive workplace culture, exceptional work is born. This philosophy has led to numerous award wins for MadeBrave, including Campaign's Best Places to Work award and a ranking on The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For List.

In addition to running MadeBrave, Andrew is well known for presenting a monthly podcast, ‘Just A Chat With’, celebrating best-in-class creativity from around the world.

When he’s not helping brands find their brave, Andrew can be found at home with his family or honing his electric guitar skills with his French Bulldog, Astro, by his side.
