Lluis Mora is the Director of Cybersecurity - CISO at GVC Group & Co-Founder of startup NeutralBit, a small information security consultancy firm. One of the coaches from the public & private sectors of CyberCenturion, Gibraltar’s junior team won the top prize in their category. The Duke of York Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award programme will be launched at the event with Education Min. Cortes.
"Technology Opportunities - Private & Public Sectors Working Together" This is our topic with our Guest Guest Speaker Lluis Mora, the Director of Cybersecurity - CISO at GVC Group. One of the coaches of the Cyber Centurion Club in Gibraltar LLuis has dedicated his spare time to local students for the competition this year. Cyber Centurion is a tough competition, with hundreds of teams from across the UK and its overseas every year. Gibraltar's junior team won the top prize in the UK-wide Cyber Centurion finals this March, with the third team coming in the overall competition. This year's results are the latest studies of local experts in the field of physics at Bayside Comprehensive.
At this event we are helping to launch The Duke of York Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award (iDEA) with the Honourable John Cortes Minister for Education and a presentation by Bayside Head of Physics and Cyber Centurion Coach Stewart Harrison. This is an international programme aiming to help address the digital skills gap. The programme provides free digital skills education in the form of engaging online modules ranging from GDPR, Blockchain, Coding and Animation. Stewart Harrison Bayside School Head Of Physics will be running the programme at the Bayside Cyber Club every Wednesday evening from 6:30 til 8:30 at Bayside School and is open to ANY student between the ages of 12 - 18.
iDEA is a blended learning approach that aspires to be a digital and enterprise equivalent of The Duke of Edinburgh Award. Participants take on a series of challenges that earn them points which aggregate towards their Bronze, Silver or Gold Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award.
The overarching goal of iDEA is to support the development and accreditation of digital skills, thereby allowing individuals more opportunities to become economically active.
