Join us as we celebrate Ocean Week 2024 and the United Nations World Ocean Day 2024 with an exciting and immersive fireside chat led by Gina Marrone and featuring Daniel Kleinman, the visionary Founder and CEO of Seaworthy Collective. This special event will dive into the innovative world of BlueTech, exploring the intersection of ocean conservation and cutting-edge technology. Engage in a dynamic discussion and gain insights into the future of our oceans and the groundbreaking solutions being developed to protect them.
Daniel Kleinman brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this fireside chat. With a career that includes piloting and designing marine robotics for prestigious institutions like Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and Bluefin Robotics, as well as serving as a US Navy contractor, Daniel is at the forefront of marine innovation. Holding degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Exploration Science, and having honed his design skills at Stanford's d.school, Daniel has been recognized globally for his contributions to ocean science and innovation, including being named a 30 Under 30 by the University of Miami and a Future Climate Leader by the Aspen Institute.
Seaworthy Collective, under Daniel's leadership, is a pioneering Miami-based nonprofit dedicated to fostering BlueTech entrepreneurship and building an inclusive community for ocean and climate impact. Their mission aligns perfectly with the goals of Ocean Week 2024, which takes place from June 2–8 and the United Nations World Ocean Day 2024 taking place on June 7. This event will spotlight the ocean's significance and the innovative solutions being developed to safeguard its future.
About Daniel Kleiman
Daniel Kleinman is the Founder and CEO of Seaworthy Collective. Daniel’s career spanned piloting, testing, and design for marine robotics – from ocean science and exploration at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution to naval research at Bluefin Robotics and as a US Navy contractor. Daniel has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, a Master’s in Exploration Science from University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, and a design and systems thinking background from Stanford University’s d.school as a University Innovation Fellow.
Daniel has been recognized as a 30 Under 30 by the University of Miami, a Future Climate Leader by the Aspen Institute, a TEDxBoston Planetary Stewardship speaker, and the youngest Laureate of Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation’s Prize for Innovative Philanthropy.
About Gina Marrone
As a serial entrepreneur in the maritime industry, Gina brings over 15 years of achievement in operational leadership, revenue generation, and enhancing the customer experience. Her journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. She has had the privilege of working alongside visionary leaders and innovative teams to confront the complex challenges inherent in the entrepreneurial journey in both the maritime and high tech startup ecosystem. In 2020, when the Miami tech ecosystem began heating up, her career trajectory shifted towards Venture Capital. Following her submission of an investment thesis on the potential to invest in maritime technology, she secured a role as a Venture Partner at Hive Hatch. Since then, she has extended her influence as a Techstars Mentor and currently spearheads community efforts for Founders N' Funders in Florida.

About Ocean Week 2024
Ocean Week 2024 takes place from June 2–8 and will highlight the threats to marine habitats and species, and offer solutions for solving them. The week will help people understand the benefits of the ocean and the dangers it faces, remind people that there are many species that need to be protected, and remind people to keep beaches clean for everyone to use.
About The United Nations World Oceans Day (UN WOD) 2024
The United Nations World Oceans Day (UN WOD) 2024 will take place on Friday, June 7, 2024, and will be a hybrid event with in-person and virtual components. The event will be hosted by the United Nations Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea, Office of Legal Affairs (DOALOS), in partnership with Oceanic Global.
The tallest building in the area, with unparalleled rooftop views of the city skyline and Atlantic Ocean, Oaklyn provides a unique new perspective on modern living.
