Colin began working on Float after spending a lot of his time working on spreadsheets to model cash flow for his digital agency. "One we moved our accounting to the cloud, it became obvious that if we could populate our forecast automatically - we could save so much time”. After building an initial prototype the team successfully completed a funding round in September 2013 and have been hard at work releasing a version of Float for Xero to add to their FreeAgent integration. Colin is passionate that running the numbers of a business and forecasting in particular should be achievable for any or no level of accounting background.  “We’ve built Float for people like us, with no prior accounting background, we want to make it easy to prepare and manage a forecast that never goes out of date, and can be jumped into at any time."
