Mark Simon is the Founder and CEO of iTen Entertainment (iTen TV). He is also the Founder of the Helium3 Digital group, iTaxi Advertising and Upward Spiral - a technology innovation consultancy specialising in payment services that was involved in Snapscan, WeChat & Mxit Wallet and PnP & Shoprite Money Transfer `Mark was previously the head of IT at the Standard Bank innovation incubator
Mark Simon is a serial entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of the Helium3 Digital group and the Founder of iTen Entertainment - a video production and advertising agency, which falls under the group.
In the H3 group he has also founded iPanda Mobile Digital, iTaxi Advertising and Upward Spiral - a technology innovation consultancy specialising in Payment services. The company was involved in the production of Snapscan, WeChat & Mxit Wallet, and the Pick n Pay & Shoprite Money Transfer. He was previously the head of IT at the Standard Bank innovation incubator.
He started playing around with computers and coding when I was nine and has no software or computer engineering degree or formal education.
"I had to prove myself through my work, ideas and innovations. It was tough, but once you prove yourself, people come to you and that is how I got the Standard Bank job."
Mark was headhunted by Standard Bank in 2006 as a software architect. He left Standard Bank in 2011 to come back to Durban and start another company, Upward Spiral Consulting, and Helium 3 Consulting, technology companies which have the bank as a client.
