Startup Grind Durban has just launched. What you may ask is Startup Grind? It is an organization which is part of a global startup community that is designed to designed to educate, inspire, and connect entrepreneurs . The event consists of monthly one-on-one fireside interviews with to Durbans most influential entrepreneurs that will inspire you all the way to your first startup
For the first event we welcome you to Kyle Fraser , co-owner of Colombo Coffee, Founder of the Factory Cafe and Director of Strategy at PlusNarrative 
What makes Durban a great entrepreneurial community is that Durban has some of the biggest entrepreneurs that started great companies here. Companies like Aspen, Adapt IT and Mr Price. Plus there is a great legacy of family businesses that are dripping with war stories of how they overcame the challenges in Durban.  Its this spirit of being the underdog in Durban that creates some of the toughest most successful entrepreneurs in South Africa.
Durban also has a fantastic history of startups started by previously disadvantaged individuals in the difficult circumstances . These are untold stories of real struggle and triumph that could be educational and inspirational for the audience to listen to.
A few of the newer companies that are making the news in Durban is Honchos Chicken, Colombo Coffee and International Bank Vaults  who all have unique business models and scaling their once young startups to a great degree
