Dr. Elizabeth Kane is the co-founder and former Chief Scientific Officer at Natalist, a venture-backed women’s health company based in Charleston, SC. She led the company’s product development and R&D from its inception to a successful omnichannel growth strategy and retail launch in Target in 2020. Under her leadership, the company launched 10 products, including 3 books and 3 medical devices. Dr. Kane has been featured on The Doctors, Cheddar TV, DigSouth, Like A Girl: Dare to Dream, The Better You Podcast, The Juna Women Podcast, and The Infertile AF Podcast

During the COVID-19 crisis, Dr. Kane has been using her expertise to source critical personal protective equipment for South Carolina hospitals with SCBIO and the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership. To date, they have vetted over 300 suppliers who are bringing in essential items for frontline healthcare workers.

Dr. Kane earned her Ph.D. in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Harvard University and her BA in Biology from New York University. Before coming to Natalist, she was a Junior Fellow at The Rowland Institute at Harvard, where she was a Principal Investigator studying the neural mechanisms underlying innate behaviors in fruit fly larvae.
