DISTIL UNION Nate Justiss and Lindsay Windham formed Distil Union in 2011 as an outlet to bring their own product ideas to the market, with the goal of simplifying our everyday lives. The design duo uses Kickstarter to vet product ideas and raise the money needed in order to go into production, and have successfully funded seven new products on the crowd-funding platform.

NATE JUSTISS Co-Founder + Industrial Designer

Nate is the designer of award-winning and life-simplifying products. After a start in the marine design industry at Boston Whaler and Scout Boats, Nate designed, invented, and guided the development of over 100 products for Digital Lifestyle Outfitters, Philips Electronics, WeatherFlow and others. He approaches every design or problem by questioning all assumptions, which often leads to unique and innovative solutions.

LINDSAY WINDHAM Co-Founder + Art Director

Before living life as an entrepreneur, Lindsay enjoyed working as a neuroscience researcher, librarian, screen printer and graphic designer. In Distil Union's 4th year, she managed Objective Design Shop: a temporary store filled with curated modern-design goods from around the globe. The pop-up shop was housed within the Distil Union studio on Upper King Street, allowing the team to connect face-to-face with the community and foster conversations about products and design.
