Milt Alpern has over twenty-five years of financial management experience in the technology and software industry. Most recently, Milt was the CFO of Benefitfocus, Inc., where he was responsible for directing all financial, human resources, legal and information systems functions for the company. While at Benefitfocus, Milt led the company’s initial public offering in 2013.
Milt Alpern has over twenty-five years of financial management experience in the technology and software industry with both publicly held and venture funded companies here in Charleston and in the Boston area.
Most recently, Milt was the chief financial officer of Benefitfocus, Inc., where he was responsible for directing all financial, human resources, legal and information systems functions for the company.
While at Benefitfocus, Milt led the company’s initial public offering in 2013. During his tenure as CFO, the company’s revenues grew from less than $70 million in 2011 to more than $200 million today and its employee population grew from approximately 650 to more than 1,500.
Prior to Benefitfocus, Milt was the CFO for ITA Software, Inc. in Cambridge, MA, a software-as-a-service provider of technology solutions to the travel industry, which was acquired by Google in 2011.
Milt has also served as the CFO and led the public offering for Applix, Inc., a publicly held international provider of business performance management and business intelligence software.
Milt began his career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand), certified public accountants.
