Matt Sloan was part of the team that created the visionary master plan for Daniel Island in Charleston in the early 1990s. He went on to become managing partner of the investment group responsible for Daniel Island's development, maintaining overall responsibility for development, marketing and sales activities over the course of more than two decades. He went on to form the DI Development Company, where he now oversees management of large-scale planned communities for clients, including the landowners of the 9,000-acre Cainhoy property where the new Point Hope community is emerging. A Paul Harris Fellow, he's a member of the Urban Land Institute and has held Board positions with many Charleston non-profit organizations, including the Roper Foundation, Cannon Street YMCA and the Charleston Regional Development Alliance. Matt has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and a M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University.
