Join StartupGrind Boston and Brandeis University for a Fireside Chat with Samantha Zirkin on the Future of Your Identity.
Samantha Zirkin is the CEO and Founder of Point 93, which leverages blockchain and a novel form of equitable pricing to enable a conversation between retailers and their individual customers. She designed and patented a universal, customer-facing platform to capture and analyze data that allows for unique market insights and individual customer identities. She is focused on delivering effective revenue maximization strategies and allowing retailers to partner with their customers in evolving more ethical, sustainable business practices.
Samantha is a global expert in retail personalization and blockchain self sovereign ID. She has been featured as a keynote speaker domestically and abroad, speaking in prominent conferences including Davos during the World Economic Forum, Retail's Big Show, Blockshow Europe, and CIO Councils.
She graduated from Brandeis University and worked in the non-profit sector. She worked all around the world (from India, to South Africa, Cambodia, Peru, and more), volunteering at orphanages and homes for children with special needs. Through these experiences, she learned first-hand about the situations that led to children becoming orphaned. She read that 1/6 people globally work in the retail supply chain and found that many of the children she worked with had parents who had been retail factory workers and had passed away due to poor working conditions and lack of resources to avail themselves of critical healthcare. She started Point 93 with the goal of improving working conditions and salaries for these parents. Point 93 does this by being able to directly attribute and quantify the revenue uplift from a retailers’ own CSR campaign, proving that customers care deeply about CSR and are willing to pay more for products made under more ethical conditions.
By empowering individuals with their own self sovereign identity and creating a new mode of conversation that captures previously unknowable data and sentiment, her company, “Point 93,” revolutionized how we buy, price, and create value for one another.
