Ramzi Rizk is a founder and CTO of EyeEm; the Berlin-based photography community and marketplace. EyeEm's distinct blend of talented photographers sharing beautiful and authentic photos, and unique, deep learning powered photo classification, ranking and search technologies have made it one of the fastest growing photography platforms in the world.

The EyeEM marketplace, which was officially launched in 2011, has a noticeably more original feel than the traditional model of stock photography. It has enabled even amateur photographers the ability to monetize on their work - while at the same time giving consumers a diverse library of images to search through.

Having successfully raised 24 million dollars in funding over two rounds as well as recognition from major press like Forbes and WIRED, EyeEm is looking to achieve its goal of ensuring their marketplace continues its growth and one day indexes every photo in the world.

Before founding EyeEm, Ramzi spent years as a doctoral candidate researching privacy in Social Media, and as an engineering manager leading development teams focused on mobile and web. Ramzi is a passionate technologist, photographer and pianist.
