Eric Sun is program director at Bits x Bites, China's first accelerator program for food tech startups tackling food system challenges. By investing across the value chain from seed to table, it fosters an ecosystem of purpose-and-profit companies to create a more sustainable food future.
Eric was inspired to help shape the future of good food after a summer experience on an organic farm in Italy. He is now the Accelerator Program Director at Bits x Bites, where he helps food tech startups achieve product-market fit while maintaining a combined purpose and profit mission.
Eric has built products and shaped startups through the lens of a human-centric design thinking approach combining disciplines of business strategy, design research, and UX design. He was founding teams of several startups from zero-to-one, including fintech startup Red Pulse, advertising software platform Jact Media, as well as several that never saw the light of day.
Eric has also advised large multinational companies on ventures, innovation, product, and strategy. A former business designer of IDEO, strategist of frog design, and project lead of Z-Ben Advisors, he has served a broad base of clients ranging from Huawei to Fitbit to Credit Suisse.
Eric has a degree in economics from University of California Berkeley
