Participating in the discussion are Diego Gutierrez Zaldivar, RSK & IOVLabs, Gaurang Torvekar, Indorse and Malcolm Palle Coinsilium. They will be covering the opportunities and challenges facing start-ups in the blockchain technology sector and asking the important question, what advantages Gibraltar offers startups and business in the blockchain technology space and what is the scale of the opportunity for Gibraltar?
Diego Gutierrez Zaldivar CEO of IOVlabs and RSK. Diego is now a familiar face in Gibraltar with IOV Labs establishing its presence here in 2017 with RSK and IOV Labs also contributing to the Professional Certificate of Competence at the University of Gibraltar. Diego was one of the pioneers of web development in Argentina and Latin America back in the 1990’s and has played a leading role in fostering Blockchain technology and bitcoin adoption in Latin America since 2012. RSK, the first smart contract platform secured by the Bitcoin network, is transforming the way businesses are conceived, designed, and built. Its complementary platform, RSK Infrastructure Framework Open Standard (RIF OS), takes these technologies to scale, simplifying the use of decentralised infrastructure for any traditional or Blockchain developer, organisation, or innovator. With help from IOVlabs platforms, people everywhere will have the power to create digital identities, build reputations, establish and enforce agreements, and engage in commercial transactions without intermediaries.
Gaurang Torvekar Co-Founder and CEO of Indorse. Indorse is a blockchain-powered recruitment technology start-up which has built an advanced Coding Assessment Platform where businesses of all sizes use a network of renowned industry experts to evaluate tech skills of developers, engineers and data scientists. Indorse undertook its ICO in 2017 where it raised US$9.0m. It is now generating significant revenues and is on a growth trajectory with major expansion plans for 2020 and beyond. In February this year Indorse will be exhibiting at the Startup Grind San Francisco 10th Anniversary Global Conference and will be attending as part of the Startup Programme through the introduction by the Gibraltar Chapter.
Malcolm Palle Chairman of Coinsilium relocated to Gibraltar in 2019 to establish their business presence. With Coinsilium (Gibraltar) Ltd firmly established, Malcolm will be joining Diego and Gaurang on the discussion panel to give his take on the opportunities that lie ahead for the wider industry and Gibraltar in particular.
