Not only is Phin Mpofu the founder of a pre-revenue-stage start-up which looks set to revolutionise the property market, but the Zimbabwean-born entrepreneur, together with co-Chapter Director Lisa Thomson, is responsible for launching the Edinburgh and Glasgow chapters of Startup Grind and bringing the unique networking and community concept to Scotland all the way from Silicon Valley.

Phin Mpofu-Masamba II is the founder of Ugenie, a next-generation social commerce platform. With a deep passion for building ecosystems and mentoring talent, particularly from underrepresented backgrounds, Phin has dedicated his career to driving impactful growth across ventures. Prior to Ugenie, he served as the interim Chief Growth Officer at BYP and was the Director of Global Community at Startup Grind, where he successfully helped scale the community to over 600 chapters in 120 countries. His work has earned him recognition, including being named to the Maserati 100 and winning the CMX Professional of the Year award. Phin currently resides in Manchester, England.
