Following in the footsteps of a family filled with entrepreneurs, Lindy Snider founded and created Lindi Skin, based in Bridgeport, PA. As the developer of the first-ever skincare collection dedicated to help relieve the often debilitating skin side effects of individuals undergoing cancer therapies including chemotherapy and radiation, Lindy individually founded oncocosmetics, an entirely new niche in dermatology and oncology. Lindy Snider is the daughter of Philadelphia businessman and entrepreneur Ed Snider, founder of the Philadelphia Flyers of the NHL and currently Chairman of Comcast-Spectacor. Lindy observed her father’s entrepreneurial spirit as he built an empire of family businesses. This hereditary gene for new business gave Lindy the personal gumption and business acumen to create Lindi Skin and successfully market it to hundreds of medical centers, hospitals, small boutiques, and online megastores across the country and internationally. Most recently in 2013, Lindy secured a strategic partnership with CVS in which Lindi Skin is the exclusive, hero brand in this mass retailer’s new chemotherapy and radiation section of their highly innovative “Store of the Future”. The genesis of Lindi Skin took place during the time Snider’s two closest friends were going through cancer treatments. She saw firsthand how her friends had to deal with horrific skin related side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, a condition that heretofore had been unknown to her. She also found that the cosmetics and skin care her friends had once used did nothing to ease their severely dry, burned and exposed skin. With this as a background, Snider made it her mission to develop a line of skin care specifically formulated to help soothe her friends’ compromised skin. After extensive research, creation of a medical advisory board and the approval of an abundance of cancer patients, Snider developed the Lindi Skin product line as a source of relief for the skin related side effects of radiation and chemotherapy treatment. In 2010, Lindy found herself dealing with her own cancer diagnosis. Undeterred by thyroid cancer and radiation treatment, Lindy has continued her work with Lindi Skin and numerous charitable foundations. Lindy is now a proud cancer survivor and is even more relentless in her commitment to empower and support cancer patients and survivors throughout their treatment and journey to wellness. In addition to donating endless amounts of Lindi Skin product and resources to various cancer organizations and researchers, Lindy is a dedicated philanthropist and an active board member of many local Philadelphia and national organizations. Her current board seats include: Cancer Forward; PSPCA, Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education; National Museum of American Jewish History; Shoah Foundation’s Next Generation Council; Philadelphia Orchestra; Fox Chase Cancer Foundation; Mission Kids; and the Snider Foundation. Lindy hosts many charity events for these groups annually helping to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for these organizations and their benefactors. Lindy is a graduate of Ithaca University and the University of Pennsylvania. She opened her first business when she was 18 years old as an antique purveyor and was an integral member of the sales and marketing team at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. Other passions include waterskiing and fly fishing, as well as ice hockey and football as spectator sports. Lindy and her husband Dr. Larry Kaiser, MD, CEO, Temple Health and Dean, Temple School of Medicine, together have six children and reside in Bryn Mawr, PA.
