Christine Souffrant is a Haitian American entrepreneur with 7 years of business management experience, 6 years of international study in over 26 countries, and 2 years of banking & finance expertise. Christine spent her early years managing a family business in New York that featured Haitian street artwork. In 2007 she attended Dartmouth College on a Bill Gates Millennium Scholarship started a career in banking upon graduation. Christine experienced a 3X promotional trajectory that ranged from managing a retail branch in DC to managing middle market clients in NY/NJ. In 2013 she decided to take a leap of faith and exit Corporate America to pursue a Masters Degree at Hult Dubai. Within 7 months she acquired several influential hats including: being Managing Director of Startup Grind Dubai, Founder of 2 city wide initiatives with DP World- Smart City Weekend and She Dares Group and became a member of the Rotary’s Rotaract Jumeirah Club. Today, Christine is known as the Founder & CEO of Vendedy- the first mobile bidding marketplace for street artisans of the world. For the first time, the remote poor can upload photos of their work onto online galleries via mobile technology, await consumers to bid on their work and receive payment via sms message once the order is delivered. In partnership with IBM and affiliates of the Clinton Global Initiative the startup is expanding to 150 countries.
