Startup Grind LA On Thursday w/ Yo Gabba Gabba and Aquabats Creator

Sometimes you get lucky, but usually you just have to work your butt off for everything you possibly get in life. Christian Jacobs, the founder of the Aquabats band/TV show, as well as the kids favorite Yo Gabba Gabba series, is coming to speak at the Startup Grind LA in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

I’ve mentioned before that I’m a long time fan of the Aquabats having been to many of their punk rock shows as a misfit teenager in High School. But Christian has evolved this wacky band with his high school friends, into a successful Hollywood career as a producer and creator. He has an incredible story, and I can say with confidence that he has one of the best founder stories to ever be told on our stage. 

I’m so excited about it that I’m doing the interview myself. Sam and team are kind enough to let me come down and crash the party. We’re hosting it as usual at AOL in Beverly Hills so come early.
